Oasis Association

Oasis Adult Centre

The Oasis Adult Centre is the youngest project at Oasis, started in 2014 as a direct response to an urgent need in the community.

The objective is to accommodate persons with intellectual disability (over 18), who cannot cope with a full day of work but who possess the right to the dignity of meaningful occupation, socialization, life-skills training and a high level of care & supervision.

The programme has thrived, starting with 9 adults in 2014 to the current 30 who are supported by a team of support staff.

“I think that everyone has something about themselves that they feel is their weakness… their ‘disability.’ And I’m certain we all have one, because I think of a disability as being anything which undermines our belief and confidence in our own abilities”
– Aimee Mullins
